LymphaTouch in specialised health care
Physiotherapist and lymphatic therapist Sini has used LymphaTouch in specialised health care since January 2024, mainly for tight scars and fibrotic tissue.

Sini is a physiotherapist and lymphatic therapist working in specialised health care. She has used LymphaTouch as part of her daily work since January 2024. Her typical patients include postoperative cancer patients, burn patients and patients referred for lymphatic therapy.
A trial period confirmed the benefits
In specialised health care, it was important to use the device in daily clinical work before submitting a purchase proposal, to make sure it was suitable and genuinely needed.
“I already knew LymphaTouch, and at one training session I heard that the device could be trialled at your own workplace. We were mainly thinking of scar treatment, especially adherent and contracted scars that can't be lifted by hand, and improving mobility around the scar. I contacted LymphaTouch, and a trial was arranged for autumn 2023. We were very happy with the results, so we submitted a purchase proposal. It was approved, and we received the device at the end of 2023.”
Improving scar function and appearance
The device is mainly used for tight scars, such as postoperative mastectomy scars and the surrounding tissue, and for softening fibrotic tissue in lymphatic patients.
“A typical patient we use LymphaTouch with is a breast cancer patient who has a long scar after a mastectomy and axillary clearance, and who for some reason has been cautious about moving the scar or the shoulder. Another typical patient is someone left with a tight scar because of the extent of the cancer.
With the device, we have been able to improve both the appearance and the mobility of scars. We have managed to bring contracted scars back up to the level of the surrounding skin, which in turn has improved tissue fluid circulation and eased the feeling of tightness, for example when moving the arm. One patient whose scar changed considerably in appearance over the treatment period said that we do cosmetic surgery without the knife. With fibrotic tissue, the work is also easier on me, because the device softens the tissue without my having to knead it with my fingers.”
In scar treatment, LymphaTouch is usually used for about 20 minutes: a 10 mm cup directly over the scar and a 60 mm cup on the surrounding tissue. It is often combined with other techniques, such as scar and skin stretching, fascial techniques, movement therapy, scar taping and self-care guidance.
I'd give LymphaTouch a full 10 out of 10. We've been extremely happy with it!
