LymphaTouch helps recovery from a contusion injury
A professional ice hockey player suffered a vastus intermedius contusion during a game. Tiina Laitala describes his recovery with combined LymphaTouch and Cryonic ultracold treatment.

A professional ice hockey player injured his vastus intermedius muscle during a game and had to leave the ice with a contusion injury. For four days, he received LymphaTouch treatment followed by Cryonic ultracold therapy to relieve swelling and pain. In the ultrasound (US) images below, the contusion is marked with red arrows (days 1 and 4).
Ultrasound images from day 1, day 4 and day 8 after the injury.
LymphaTouch and Cryonic ultracold treatments began on the day of the injury, about six hours after first aid (RICE; ultrasound image from day 1). Because of the pain, the athlete used crutches for two days.
The athlete reported less pain after the first treatment (VAS from 8 to 5.5). At tissue level, the contusion in the vastus intermedius healed in eight days, with no clearly visible scar tissue at the injury site. The injured muscle tolerated light stretching on day 4 after the injury, and the athlete returned to sport on day 9.
Conclusion
In my clinical assessment, the combined LymphaTouch and Cryonic ultracold treatments shortened recovery from the contusion significantly compared with the typical recovery time of three weeks. The athlete was able to resume light exercise on day 5 after the injury and returned to sport on day 9.
