Docrates Cancer Center: LymphaTouch broadens manual treatment options
Physiotherapist Sonja at Docrates Cancer Center uses LymphaTouch in cancer rehabilitation and musculoskeletal physiotherapy to treat scars, tightness, swelling and pain.

Physiotherapist Sonja works at Docrates Cancer Center, where she supports cancer patients through the prevention of musculoskeletal problems, the treatment and rehabilitation of dysfunctions, and guidance and advice. LymphaTouch has supported cancer rehabilitation at Docrates since 2020.
Sonja describes her experience with LymphaTouch:
“LymphaTouch has been a versatile tool in cancer rehabilitation and other musculoskeletal physiotherapy. I use the device to treat scars, tightness, swelling and pain. A treatment takes 15-30 minutes at a time, depending of course on the goal and the area being treated, which leaves time for exercises as well.
I use LymphaTouch most often for scars and pain. With scars, the results can be seen and felt after the very first session. The scar becomes more flexible and joint mobility improves, for example after a mastectomy. The vibration in LymphaTouch also enhances scar treatment. I have found tension-release techniques using pulse mode and high negative pressure particularly effective. For plantar fasciitis, a combination of 300 mmHg negative pressure and vibration has worked especially well.
LymphaTouch has opened up new options for treating swelling, even though I am not a lymphatic therapist. It has also reduced the strain on my hands. The device suits physiotherapists well, as it broadens the range of manual treatment and pain management I can offer different clients.”
